Bill Risser

Bill Risser

Bill has been a member of the LCC off and on since 1947 and was President for the 1970-71 seasons.  He has been retired for 23 years after working as a Marine Supervisor for National Sea. He has curled in the British Consuls (now the Tankard) as lead with team mates Dave Beck (skip), Gordon Prince (mate), and Alfred Lomax (2nd).  His team was runner up in the provincials during the 90's.

Bill learned to skate on Lunenburg's Back Harbour using his mother's skates, which were very loose fitting.

Bill's 30 foot houseboat in winter storage on the shore of the Back Harbour within sight of the Kissing Bridge Market.  Bill built the boat by himself, without any help, and without a drawn plan (just like Noah).  During the summer he cruises in it and plays golf.
